# Optional online mentorship training for partners

Throughout your project, Sidekick will provide you bite-sized, task-based advice to help ensure you have a positive and productive experience as a project partner.

If you can spare an hour, however, we strongly recommend you check out PERT's [Mindset Toolkit for Mentors](https://www.mindsetkit.org/growth-mindset-mentors) developed by [PERTS](https://www.perts.net/) in partnership with [MENTOR](http://www.mentoring.org/). Originally used by Americorp Civic Year, it provides a succinct, interactive online course that trains skills useful for anyone in a mentorship position.

You'll learn more about important learning mindsets, especially the Growth Mindset, and how to interact with young adults in developmentally-appropriate ways that support these mindsets.

Sidekick had nothing to do in the creation of this material. We just think it does a fantastic job homing in on the big things that matter what matters
